If you love elephants you’ve got to see Addo Elephant Park in South Africa (Garden Route)!
It is absolutely amazing!
Much smaller than Kruger, but all the more special because of its HUGE elephant population!
While Addo also houses zebras, buffalo, rhinos, ostriches and many other animals, the dominant feature at this National Park near Port Elizabeth are definitely elephants – more than 600 of them!
They are everywhere – and around the big water holes I counted several hundred! A gigantic herd, all bathing, interacting, spraying water or rolling in the mud – it was magnificent!
Do not miss Addo if you drive the Garden Route – you would miss one of its most wonderful highlights.
Just watch this visual feast……
