The top two search engines I use for most of my bookings are Momondo and Kiwi. They are both unique in their own way.

Momondo shows you which days in a month are the cheapest and always has some of the lowest rates.

Kiwi lets you enter a region (both departure and destination) and the search engine will show you the cheapest routes.
