I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver.

I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver. The group I was with just snorkeled and 3 days was ample. The Snorkling was amazing and free the best I have done in Bali without paying a fortune . The trip to Amed was a tour within itself seeing the different demographics of Bali , long but worth it. I would rather look at the mountains and villages from a car and take in scenery than sit in terminal, boat for 3 hours till snorkeling tour starts.

Best is the snorkeling, right off Jemeluk black sand beach.

Best is the snorkeling, right off Jemeluk black sand beach. IDR 50000 (AU$5) to hire snorkel gear for 24 hrs Lots of diving /fishing opps. Don't go there for the shopping. Less touristy than other Bali places. Also seemingly cheaper, ie from AU$35/night for aircon room on beach. Great walks and great views. Everywhere we ate was decent. Cheap scooter hire.

Very relaxed and great to see not too much tourism, although we were here in low season. There were jellyfish but they don’t really affect snorkeling, we hired wetsuits and had no issues. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. It’s a perfect place to stay

    They are rapidly developing Amed.

They are rapidly developing Amed. Making new roads, opening restaurants and cafe's. HOWEVER. The reason people go here is because of the reefs, and especially the reefs close to the beaches are polluted with plastic and are being destroyed by careless people. Seeing that this is the biggest reason to go to Amed, it is mindblowing to see they are spending so much money on new roads and hotels but just don't seem to care about the state of the ocean and coral reefs.

Great location and really great snorkelling directly from the property (you can literally walk into the ocean from the back door and experience some of the best snorkelling spots available in Amed if not Bali). The included breakfast was really tasty. Made was easily one of the best hosts we've ever had in Bali, and the entire staffing team were really exceptionally helpful. They went above and beyond our expectations and made our experience even more pleasant. Everything was clean and as described. Would recommend.

Loved my stay at emocean! Starting from the rooms & resort decor to the very diligent team of staff around. The restaurant staff were extra accommodating and prepared special meals for me as I had to follow a particular diet due to a chronic condition. I also did my open water certification with Frank and enjoyed every bit of it - the dive sites, company and some good banter throughout. Highly recommend the place if you are around Amed - it’s a gem in the heart of a very authentic Balinese village :)

We were doing a diving trip and decided to stay in this hotel for 3 nights. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. It is located at the beach and very strategic (close by to bars, restaurants, minimart, etc). The view was amazing. You can see Agung Mountain plus a crystal clear beach in your front yard! We used a car and the parking spot was very spacious. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. This is the most valuable hotel I've ever stayed in Amed, will be back again.

The location is at the beachfront with black sand and near many good restaurants. The hotel has its own cheap convenient store. The room is spacious with a very large window. It is well equipped with air conditioner, fridge, electric kettle, table, and drying rack. Wifi is great. The swimming pool is big. The breakfast is superb buffet with various choices, compared to other budget accommodations in Bali. The staffs are supportive and responsive to Booking chat.

Breakfast was good, basic but what’s expected for a cheaper hotel stay. Villa was great, location was ideal- close to sea and snorkelling spot Staff were mixed. Wayan was wonderful . Sometimes rubbish left about / plays/ glass Mrs while staff were on their phones looking like they hadn’t got anything to do Overall a really chilled out place that felt like the real Bali, and good value for money.

They wanted to include the tourist for your and their enjoyment. There's a swimming pool and the beach at the rear of the accommodation. Beautiful view, right at end of the beach, good food, lovely room, super nice staff, amazing snorkelling steps away, gear rentals on site. Perfect location for me (with a scooter); just outside the noisy central area but good restaurants and views in walking distance. Easy trip either into Amed or to Lipah area (which I love) I extended twice and stayed over 2 weeks.
